AfterCare
Instructions
Here to help with understanding tattoo aftercare for the best result.
Recovery Derm Shield Maintenance
-
Leave saniderm on for at least 3-4 days.
-
Submerging the saniderm in water, like swimming or bathing, is strongly discouraged. However, showering for short periods of time and light work outs should be fine.
-
If a bubble forms, DO NOT POP IT!
-
The bubble is a mix of ink, blood and plasma. This actually aids in the healing process of the tattoo.
-

Recovery Derm Shield Removal
-
Gently grasp the edge of the term shield.
-
Slowly pull from the edge back over the wrap. - Do NOT pull upwards or outwards! This can cause trauma to skin and tattoo.
-
Using water can help make this process be less painful and help protect the skin and tattoo.
-
-
Wash the skin with a gentle, fragrant free, soap.
-
We recommend Dial Gold Antibacterial soap.
-
-
Pat completely dry.
General Tattoo AfterCare
-
Wash your tattoo with a mild antiseptic scent-free soap. Continue to wash your tattoo at least twice daily for 1-2 weeks or until it has healed.
-
Moisturize your tattoo with a scent-free lotion or antibiotic ointment.
-
Wear loose clothing until your tattoo is fully healed to avoid any rubbing or pulling off scabs.
-
Avoid direct sunlight after the tattoo session.
-
Avoid swimming or submerging the tattoo until it is fully healed.
-
Do NOT pick or peel the scabs or flaky skin on the tattoo. Tattoos are open wounds, let your body heal!
