AFTERCARE
All roads lead to Rome. Basically what we are saying is do what works best for you. Everyone's skin requires something a little different. We want to give you the facts and knowledge to determine what will work best for you.

Healing
Your new art is exciting, managing the healing process appropriately is critical. Tattoos are an open wound, your goal is to keep your artwork sterile and properly moisturized for optimal healing. All tattoo ink is considered foreign particles by your body so some type of reaction is expected and normal.
-
Initial Healing (Days 1-6): Right after getting the tattoo, the area may be red, swollen, and tender. It's important to keep it clean and moisturized. Use a fragrance-free, gentle soap and a recommended aftercare ointment.
-
Peeling and Flaking (Days 7-14): As the skin begins to heal, you might notice peeling or flaking. This is normal and part of the healing process. Avoid picking at the flakes to prevent scarring.
-
Itching (Days 7-14): Itching can occur as the tattoo heals. To relieve itching, apply a fragrance-free moisturizer. Do not scratch the area.
-
Final Stages (Weeks 3-4): By the end of the second week, most of the peeling should be done. The tattoo will look vibrant, but the skin might still be slightly raised. Continue moisturizing until the skin is fully healed.
-
Long-term Care: Even after healing, protect your tattoo from sun exposure and keep the skin moisturized to maintain the colors.
